Reading Takes You Everywhere

Welcome to Summer Read! We invite all ages to participate in this fun, reading filled 8 week program!

What is it?
An 8 week reading/activity oriented program. Once you complete and submit your weekly reading/activity, you’ll receive a prize and be eligible for a grand prize! Entries accepted
June 4-July 29, 2018.

How do I join?
No registration required. Each week you will submit the goal (read at least 2 hours or choose to complete an activity) you have completed HERE. Please ask Staff for any help with submissions.

Where do I claim the prizes?
All Adult prizes may be claimed at the Service Desk or the Information Desk.
All Babies/Kids/Teens prizes may be claimed at the KidSpace Desk.

Grand Prize Drawing Tuesday, August 3rd! You do not need to be present to win.

Community Flower Installation

June 4-July 29
KidSpace Desk
All Ages
Design a layered cellophane flower to be installed in the Atrium at the end of summer to create a community artwork.

Preschool Story Time

June 11-July 23
Mondays at 10:30am, 1:15pm, 5:30pm or Tuesdays at 10:30am

Craft Room
Ages 3-5
Wake up Mr. Turtle and participate in stories, activities, crafts, and other fun literacy builders. One program, but different times and days to come and enjoy the fun.

Books & Babies

Thursdays, June 14-July 26
(NOT MEETING 7/5/18)
Craft Room
Ages infant through 36 months with an adult.
Bouncing rhymes, songs, finger plays, stories, and other early literacy fun will be presented. 

Cosplay Tutorial Series

Thursdays, June 14 & June 21
4:00pm-5:00pm (classes may run longer depending on  the project)
Registration required (starting 5/31/18), 10 student limit. Call 345-1514 to sign up.
Middle & High Schoolers
Teens, thinking about creating a cosplay costume? Try out Worbla, a thermoplastic, to create a wrist guard/bracer from the fandom of your choice.  Please have concept art upon arrival for the first program. This is a multi-part program so please check your availability before registering.
